HED Intl. has introduced the new
LabCast®
laboratory tabletop
coating/casting
system for industry research and
engineering developers of thick films.
The systems are used in green energy
applications such as fuel cells, photovoltaics, LiON batteries, and ultraca-pacitors.
The system is suitable for fabricating
highly uniform sheets of flexible film as
thin as 0.0005 in. Films are web cast
from a variety of polymer, elastomer,
ceramic, metal, and composite liquid
suspensions.

Meggitt Sensing Systems, a
Meggitt group
division, has released a selection guide for its
Endevco® microphones and preamplifiers.
The 16-page
guide highlights
the company’s
new precision acoustic sensors and
instrumentation for automotive NVH,
cabin noise, vibro-acoustic testing, ap-
pliance noise evaluation, wind tunnel
testing, and other critical measurement
applications. It offers detailed explana-
tions of the products and their techni-
cal working principles, preceded by a
series of comparative technical charts
for individual acoustic sensors.
The prepolarized condenser measurement microphones are offered in
free-field, pressure, array, and random-incidence types and may be used to
meet IEC and ANSI standards. The
array microphones are directly compatible with ISOTRON® (IEPE-type) signal
conditioning, facilitating their use as
drop-in replacements within existing
accelerometer test system setups for
as-needed precision noise measurements. Models may be purchased as
stand-alone units or in a microphone
and low-noise preamplifier combination with TEDS for large channel count
applications.
