Cast stone product reuses glass cullet
CastStone22 from Edwards Cast Stone
Co. is a cast stone product containing
22 percent recycled material. The building material—manufactured from glass
cullet aggregate, Portland cement, additives, and color pigments—simulates
natural limestone.
It generally is used as a masonry
product, an architectural feature, trim,
ornament, or facing for buildings and
other structures. The material typically
displays high resistance to abrasion.
Reduced drying shrinkage also often
is observed for mixes containing glass
cullet aggregate.

Fluid storage, dispensing system eliminates 55-gal. drums
The IFH Group offers a rack-mounted fluid storage and dispensing system
with multiple lightweight carbon steel or stainless steel containers. The system can be used in one central lube room or at several locations within a
plant. It provides an alternative to 55-gal. drums for storage, handling, and
dispensing of lubricants, oils, greases, hydraulic fluids, and cutting oils.
Each container is labeled with the fluid it holds. Quick-coupling filter assemblies, screened vents, and different couplings for different oils eliminate product cross-contamination.
Spills are prevented via tight product transfer and a drip-containment pan.
No contact between the fluids and the lube technicians is necessary.
